Ashton

After a serious accident left Ashton paralyzed, he underwent surgery and was transferred to C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital for continued specialized care. There, his care team included urologists, orthopedic specialists, physical therapists, a psychologist, and others who helped guide his recovery.
During Ashton’s two month in-patient stay, Ashton’s family is grateful for both the lifesaving specialized care and how his care team made every occasion special. From holiday celebrations, music therapy, visits from magicians and professional athletes, and even a therapy dog named Barney who quickly became Ashton’s best friend, his care team made sure Ashton felt supported, seen, and like a kid again. His family will forever be grateful for the healing and hope they found at C.S. Mott. That’s why Ashton is joining #TeamCHA during #FAD2025, to ensure every kid continues to have access to specialized, life-saving care they deserve.
