Bubby

​Bubby is five years old and full of energy. He’s a burn survivor and amputee who joined his forever family through foster care. His medical needs are complex, but you’d never know from his big, bright smile!​

His team at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital provides his everyday care—ENT, GI, therapy, and the support that keeps him moving forward. There, Bubby and his family have built a sense of community. After a recent tonsillectomy, Bubby looked around and said, “This is the best surgery ever.” Between the playroom, the popsicles, and the staff who made him feel safe, he knew he was in the right place.​

His family is joining #TeamCHA during #FAD2025 to share his medical journey and why #MedicaidMatters to his long-term care so all children can have access to the high-quality pediatric care they deserve.
