Nevaeh

At just 4 years old, Nevaeh became a bone marrow donor—and helped give her brother a second chance at life.

When Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware, confirmed she was a full match, she stepped up with confidence and courage. Her donation gave her brother the chance to be symptom free from sickle cell disease—and now, they get to grow up side by side, doing everything together.

Nevaeh loves nature, gymnastics, and keeping up with her brother. She says her children’s hospital is important “because they help me help my brother and other kids.”

She’s proud to be part of #TeamCHA and to share her story at #FAD2025—to show what’s possible with Medicaid, innovative research and treatments, and when kids are supported and given the chance to make a difference.
