Reign

Reign is 10 years old and already a force. She lives with Sickle Cell SS and asthma—and manages both with strength, daily medication, and support from a care team that understands what she needs proactively.

Her first pain crisis happened at just two months old. Her mom still remembers the call from Nurse Monica at Nemours Children’s Health, who calmly explained what came next and reassured her that Reign could still live a full life with the right care and education.​

Since then, Nemours has helped Reign stay ahead of symptoms through proactive care and early interventions. That means fewer hospital visits—and more time doing what she loves: dancing, singing, and picking out the perfect outfit.​

Every year, Reign and her family take part in “We The Village,” a community walk for Sickle Cell Awareness. For the last two years, her care team from Nemours has shown up to walk with them.

Reign’s journey is why her family is part of #TeamCHA and showing up for #FAD2025—to advocate for high-quality, specialized care.
