Sage
For the past 3.5 years, Sage has been undergoing treatment for leukemia. On May 7, 2025, he’ll reach a milestone his family has dreamed of—ringing the bell to mark the end of his treatment at @BlankChildrens. 🎉
Sage’s journey began when he was just a toddler. After weeks of leg pain and a rash, his family took him to the ER, where testing revealed a leukemia diagnosis. What followed was a long, intense road: hospital stays, countless procedures, and ongoing chemotherapy. He is currently in the maintenance phase of treatment, which includes monthly visits to the hospital—and regular check-ins that will continue for years to come.
Sage’s time at Blank Children’s Hospital has been about more than medicine. The team there supported not just his health, but his spirit. They embraced his family, created space for joy, and empowered them to become advocates. Sage has been recognized as an honored hero, featured in campaigns, and celebrated in the community—all with the help of the hospital that’s stood beside them since day one.
Whether he’s sprinting down the soccer field or gearing up for his next hunting trip, Sage is thriving and happy!
